Taylor + Tyler | Sundy House
Taylor was living in Hawaii but knew she wanted to celebrate in our perfect little hometown, while still pulling elements of Hawaii into her design. Her vision included a variety of florals and greens that would emulate the lush tropical scenery of her current home.
There’s something magical about my hometown. It has a way of pulling me back over and over. This time it was Taylor who helped pull me back in after spending a year away due to the pandemic. Phyllis (my grandmother, a national treasure) had to be protected at all costs. Taylor was living in Hawaii but knew she wanted to celebrate in our perfect little hometown, while still pulling elements of Hawaii into her design. Her vision included a variety of florals and greens that would emulate the lush tropical scenery of her current home. After a visit to a nursery, the flower shop, and my grandma’s backyard- Taylor’s Hawaiian rainforest - with a romantic touch, sprung to life at the historic Sundy House.

Clara + John | Domaine Roy & fils, Oregon
Their love is steady and sure, and the love their family shares for them is immense. It was a beautiful night under the stars and amongst the vines.
I visited Domaine Roy during my first trip to Oregon, almost exactly 3 years to the day of Clara and John’s wedding. Being back and being a part of a wedding on their site was something that felt out of reach for a while, but Clara trusted me and pulled me right in. She coped with all the heartbreak and hurdles that come with planning a wedding on the fringe of a pandemic with a level of grace I never would have been able to muster. The process felt a little like a roller coaster, but the day of was anything but that. Their love is steady and sure, and the love their family shares for them is immense. It was a beautiful night under the stars and amongst the vines.
Julianne + Erik | Bend, Oregon
Julie has a tranquil but intentional presence about her. She is always listening, contemplating, maneuvering. She is one of the most honest people I know, she’s tough, but is sentimental beyond all belief and a romantic that puts my hopeless romantic musings to shame.
Julianne was one of the first people I met when I moved to Oregon. I was referred to her by a mutual friend, after hearing I was a floral designer new to the area. Julie and I quickly connected over our love for Disney and after I was able to get over my wave of jealousy that she had actually worked there- we became fast friends. We were both east coast girls and I felt right at home while talking to her. Before I knew it we were working events together and collaborating out in wine country. I was submerged in the wine industry and loving it with Julianne teaching me so much about wine, service, and about myself through the process. Julie has a tranquil but intentional presence about her. She is always listening, contemplating, maneuvering. She is one of the most honest people I know, she’s tough, but is sentimental beyond all belief and a romantic that puts my hopeless romantic musings to shame.
All that being said - Erik is a lucky guy, and certainly found his magnetic counterpart. During quarantine they were my people. Julie and I would have picnics in the park, by the river, drink too much daytime wine, and would often times wind up chilling with Erik and the cats back at their place. They kept me sane, offered a place of refuge, reminded me that life really can be simple. They are friends who have always felt more like family, which made providing the florals for their wedding such an honor. I apparently channeled a Disney princess for her florals, which honestly makes all the sense in the world. Cheers Julie and Erik! You have years of your fairytale ahead.

Mary + Spencer | The Ocean Club of Florida, Ocean Ridge
Mary + Spencer are joy bottled up. They illuminate around each other. They look at each other, I mean really look at each other. It isn’t just one of them looking, it is both of them looking at each other with the same, “I can’t believe this is my person” look on their face every single time. During their first dance Mary twirled around the floor as they sang to each other, and I sat on the sidelines weeping like a weirdo. Their love is palpable.
Before scrolling through this gallery any further, do yourself a favor and queue up Mary + Spencer’s first dance song: “I Will Follow You” performed by Toulouse. Got it? Ok great, now a little gush session on these two. There are all kinds of couples in the world. There are serious couples focused on careers and goals. There are playful wander off into the wilderness for years couples. There are some that fall in the middle, some who have known each other since they were five, or those who found each other again after years apart. Regardless of the coupling, it’s those little sparks that ignite two people to choose each other. Mary + Spencer are joy bottled up and it feels electric. They light up around each other. When I asked Spencer if he was ready right before walking down the aisle all he said to me was, “I’m just so ready to marry her”. Not in a rushed let’s get this over with kind of way. Nope, this was in a way which made you really believe he had been waiting for this moment his whole life - or at least since the moment he had met Mary.

Alex is a light and she loves her people with every ounce of her being. Cris looks at her with total wonder struck across his face every single time. He is calm and steady, creating an energetic balance we all hope to find in a partner. This was their magical wedding day.
There are some clients I hop on the phone with and by the end of the call I know we’re going to make some wedding magic happen. Alex was definitely one of those brides. I spent the majority of our 45 minute call laughing and feeling like I was talking to one of my life long friends. She’s just a fireball of energy that doesn’t quit. She’s a light and she loves her people with every ounce of her being. Cris looks at her with total wonder struck across his face every single time. He is calm and steady, creating an energetic balance we all hope to find in a partner. Plus, on top of it all they just straight up glow when they are next to one another. The amount of love they share for each other clearly extends right on over into their group of friends and family. They traveled in from New England to celebrate an undeniable love in their favorite city by the sea.
On a personal note, I thought this was going to be one of the last weddings I designed. I had moved to Oregon a few weeks before connecting with Alex, and was pondering hitting the pause button on my business, but their wedding changed all of that for me. Their excitement, the warm hugs they offered when we met for the first time the day before their wedding in a parking lot, the supportive messages along the way, and the notes of utter and complete joy following the wedding recharged me. I fell in love with weddings and this floral business all over again and for that I’m forever grateful to Alex and Cris. Congrats you two, I can’t wait to visit and drink rosé with you on a porch in New England sometime soon!

Barbie + Jesse | Jupiter Beach Resort
I first met Barbie through her best friend. Tammy knew I needed some extra hands for a few weddings I had coming up, and Barbie was known to be slightly obsessed with flowers. We met for happy hour and I left with sore cheeks and the feeling I had just met someone I’d be friends with for years to come.
Not soon after, Barbie became engaged to the sweetest man alive (truly, Jesse is a gem and a half) and wedding planning began quickly after. Flowers were of course top of her mind and she wanted there to be plenty of color, whimsy, and peonies. Coral charm peonies to be exact. We spent the next year growing closer as friends and honing in on her wedding day vision. The love that they share for each other is what everyone hopes to find and the love that they share for their family and friends is overwhelmingly genuine. They love big, they party big, and they live life to the absolute fullest. We all need friends like that.
Allyson + Justin | The Seagate Beach Club
Allyson + Justin’s generosity and genuine excitement over the entire day, and their love for one another will always be a little moment that I treasure. These photographs feel like a breath of fresh air, just like the love they share for one another and shared with their closest friends and family that day.
When I say I have the best clients I genuinely mean it, and Allyson and Justin are just another example. I'll always fondly remember our phone calls, design meetings, and the creative freedom they both gave me. The night of their wedding, as I was breaking down, Allyson ran over to me and said she really hoped I would be there and she'd be able to see me. She yelled "Justin" from across the room, and ran over to grab him. They both gushed about how perfect their day was, expressing that is really was the best day of their lives. They were thrilled with the flowers and gave me the warmest hugs. I rarely have those moments with the couple after the dancing ends and the guests start to board trolleys. Their generosity and genuine excitement over the entire day, and their love for one another will always be a little moment that I treasure. These pictures feel like a breath of fresh air, just like the love they share for one another and shared with their closest friends and family that day.

Laura + Dino | Miami Beach Woman's Club
My friendship with Laura started when my family moved back to Florida and I was plopped in a tight knit class of 36 kids who had already known each other for 4 years. I was the new girl and a quiet slightly uncomfortable 7 year old. I'm not entirely sure when Laura and I became inseparable but it happened pretty quickly and I just knew she was going to be my best friend to the end.
Laura and Dino...oh where to begin? My friendship with Laura started when my family moved back to Florida and I was plopped in a tight knit class of 36 kids who had already known each other for 4 years. I was the new girl and a quiet slightly uncomfortable 7 year old. I'm not entirely sure when Laura and I became inseparable but it happened pretty quickly and I just knew she was going to be my best friend to the end. We've spent countless hours together, growing up and learning about life. We've been side-by-side on the stage, on a cheerleading squad, in the music room, on art projects, on the swing set, and now on her wedding day. I treasure our friendship and our memories and couldn't imagine any guy truly deserving of her silly awkward compassionate and loyal self, but then there was Dino. They complete one another in every sense of the word. Each second is genuine, every moment is cherished, and they make each little piece of time spent together a memory that matters.
Creating the florals for Laura and Dino's wedding will always be a surreal moment. Seeing your longest friend marry her better half is priceless enough. But watching her walk down the aisle, holding a bouquet that was just in my hands moments ago, that is something that can never be replicated. I was so lucky to spend my childhood and early adult life with Laura right there next to me all along, and Dino is just about the most perfect person to take it from here.
