A Timeless Blue and White Wedding at The Ocean Club of Florida
There is something undeniably romantic about a wedding by the ocean. At The Ocean Club of Florida, Kelly & Anthony’s celebration brought together classic blue and white elegance, lush floral design, and sentimental touches to create a wedding that felt both timeless and deeply personal.
From the initial planning to the finishing details, every element was thoughtfully curated to reflect the couple’s vision, resulting in a celebration that was as beautiful, meaningful, and extremely fun!
As the planner and designer behind the celebration, I had the pleasure of bringing every layer of the wedding together, including the floral design, stationery design, linen curation, and vendor selections.
The stationery introduced the design aesthetic from the very beginning, setting the tone for a celebration rooted in timeless elegance. Linen selections added texture and dimension to the tablescape, while the floral designs brought whimsy, elegance, and natural beauty to the space.
Each element was designed to complement the next, creating a seamless experience in which the smallest details felt just as considered as the larger design moments.
A Classic Coastal Palette
Inspired by the natural beauty of the oceanfront setting, blue and white served as the foundation for the wedding’s design. The palette felt fresh, refined, and effortlessly elegant, complementing the coastal surroundings while creating a cohesive aesthetic throughout the celebration.
Layered linens, carefully selected stationery that drew in elements of the venue, and thoughtfully composed floral arrangements worked together to bring the vision to life. Each detail was chosen with intention, balancing classic sophistication with the relaxed beauty of a seaside setting.
Fun fact: The family’s dog’s name is Daisy, so we made sure to include mini daisies in Anthony’s boutonnière.
A Sunflower Statement with a Story
While the blue and white palette established the overall look, one floral moment brought an especially meaningful touch to the celebration: a statement arrangement featuring sunflowers.
The inspiration behind it, was incredibly personal. Anthony reguarly brings home sunflowers for Kelly, making them a familiar and heartfelt symbol of their relationship. Incorporating sunflowers into the wedding design was a way to honor that piece of their love story.
Against the refined blue and white palette, the sunflowers offered a beautiful pop of warmth and color. More than a striking floral feature, the arrangement represented the little things that make a relationship special: the thoughtful gestures, the familiar traditions, and the ways love is expressed long before the wedding day. It was a reminder that the most memorable wedding details are often the ones that tell a couple’s story.
