Danielle + Kevin | Social House Wedding

Danielle wanted her wedding to feel organic and natural with moments of rich, deep blues incorporated throughout. We named their wedding's design "Untethered Romance" which allowed us to bring in lush and overgrown details, while still maintaining an elegant tone.

Danielle and Kevin are one of those couples that make you believe in love all over again. Before tying the knot, they had been together for close to 10 years but at first glance you may guess 10 months. They have a youthful love that is incredibly infectious and it filled the room the day of their wedding.  Danielle wanted her wedding to feel organic and natural with moments of rich, deep blues incorporated throughout. We named their wedding's design "Untethered Romance" which allowed us to bring in lush and overgrown details, while still maintaining an elegant tone.

Danielle and Kevin not only found the design of their wedding to be important, but wanted to throw an incredible party for loved ones who had been a part of their love story over the years. It was a night full of laughs, dancing, good conversation and one of the best Best Man speeches I've ever heard. Everyone had their fair share of tears and laughs which is always such an incredible testament to the couple and the love shared.

Coral Cove Inspiration Shoot

There's something so sentimental and classic about a beach wedding, and this shoot was no exception. We wanted the florals to be loose and romantic while still speaking to the natural beauty of the ocean and it's surroundings. Every creative involved truly embraced the vision and brought so many beautiful moments to the day.

True collaboration can be hard to come by. To me, collaboration is finding a group of people who challenge and influence you, working together to find a vision everyone can stand behind, and then letting that talented collective do what they do best. Of course there are the hiccups, the unexpected rain storms, the near meltdowns, and the sore muscles. But when you find a group of people who can look at you sweaty and near tears, jump right in and offer a hand, and even a hug, you walk away feeling so fulfilled and grateful.

For me, this Coral Cove inspiration shoot is a perfect example of how wonderfully a collaboration can work. I was first connected with Teresa of Jose and Teresa Photography through a few of my fellow Social House members. She was looking to rebrand her website and was hoping to pull together a collection of photos that spoke to her own style.

I love how every detail came together. The florals were loose and romantic while still complimenting the natural beauty of the beach. The table top accents reminded me of my favorite parts of the beach - whispy pink clouds, fragmented bits of sea glass, and found treasures.  My favorite floral detail has to be the clay-looking eucalyptus pods used in the arbor's design. They offered the perfect amount of natural contrast against the more romantic blooms used throughout the bouquet and centerpiece.

Beach weddings don't need to be full of starfish and sea shells. I love how we as a group were able to showcase a fresh and romantic approach to a beach wedding that allowed the natural beauty of the beach to act as a soft and complimentary backdrop.

Carey + Brendan | Williamsburg Inn Wedding

Designing for our clients is always an adventure and a rewarding journey. But designing for a family member, for your sister, that is about as rewarding as it gets. Carey asked for fall inspired colors that were refined and brought the surrounding gardens into their historic colonial venue at the Williamsburg Inn.

Designing for our clients is always an adventure and a rewarding journey. But designing for a family member, for your sister, that is about as rewarding as it gets. Carey asked for fall inspired colors that were refined and brought the surrounding gardens into their historic colonial venue at the Williamsburg Inn. So, we loaded up the car (boarded up the house - because Hurricane  Matthew was making a determined effort to hit our home in South Florida), and headed off to Virginia for some fresh fall air, family time, and inspiration.

I wanted to make sure her centerpieces and bouquet felt freshly gathered, so we sourced plants from the area, combining interesting textures with bold blooms such as peonies and dahlias. In order to bring the lush greens of the grounds in, we designed half of her centerpieces primarily with various and texturally interesting greens and added touches of floral accents in shades of blackberry and goldenrod. The remaining centerpieces incorporated larger focal blooms in shades of blush, burgundy, ivory, and blackberry.

With Hurricane Matthew headed along the east coast, heavy rains called for an indoor ceremony. Large urns of fresh rosemary were used to define the ceremony space and filled the room with the scent of fresh herbs. You immediately felt as though you were outside in a brimming garden and quickly forgot about the surging rains.

I'm a big believer that everything happens for a reason, and if it hadn't been for the threat of a hurricane, and the rains that come with it, Carey and Brendan wouldn't have these gorgeous and dewy couple portraits. As they strolled through the garden they remained huddled extra close to one another under a clear umbrella - because all great romances have a rain storm or two intertwined.

Congrats Carey and Brendan! We are so beyond happy for you two, and know that your life will be filled with a lot of love, boardgames, and laughs. Love you so much and thank you for allowing me to create some pretty moments for your big day.

The Copper Arch | Floral Design

To say our copper arch is our favorite rental item is actually pretty accurate. Take a peek at the weddings and events this metallic beauty has popped up at this past year!

We have some exciting things happening over here. One, we're finally getting around to blogging a few of our favorite moments from this past year - such as this copper arch and all the fun outings it has made this year. We've also had some time to reflect on where we want this crazy/wonderful/always-changing business of ours to go, and we are back from vacation prepping for that wedding season peeking its head out from around the corner.

As some of you may know, Karina and Seth were the ENTIRE reason this gorgeous structure was built in the first place. They were also the first couple I was lucky enough to see celebrate their marriage at my favorite spot: Social House (we have two more weddings at the House coming up! Eek!).

The next outing wasn't a real wedding, but instead Wedding Meet hosted at Social House and featuring three rooms full of local wedding vendors and their gorgeous work. For this event, our copper arch was dressed up by the talented Hayley Sheldon with her handmade gold bamboo installation.

We love that the arch provides such a blank slate and allows other creatives and couples to play. This February one of our couples has collaborated with Hayley to design strands of paper petals to hang from the arch and act as an escort display at the Boca Resort. Can you say dreamy?

We love to rent to floral designers, other wedding professionals, and couples alike. Feel free to send an email to us and see pricing and reserve your date!

Anika + Brad | Swank Farms

When we first met, Anika had just said "yes!". California's wine country was tossed around as a destination for friends and family, but Anika and Brad ultimately ended up falling for Swank Farms right here in South Florida. Planning Anika and Brad's wedding was a true labor of love. We would meet over donuts, chat about all the pretty details and by the end of it all, they had a magical night with their closest friends and family - along with a few cows and pigs.

Anika and I first met via instagram, like all good friendships of mine start these days. She runs her own food blog, Miles and Mimosas (how cute!) and we had made a date to meet business owner-to-business owner when she unexpectedly became engaged! We grabbed a bite to eat at Max's Harvest, chatted about food, life, and by the end of the evening we were talking about all the possibilities for her wedding. Anika and Brad exchanged vows under a chuppah made of foraged branches her mom had gathered. Friends and family huddled for an intimate ceremony and enjoyed craft cocktails served from vintage glassware followed by an intimate and delicious family-style dinner.

The night ended with a massive dance party, where sweaty button downs and smiles were stuck on each guest. As my team and I sat on the sidelines watching the night come to a close, you could just feel the love. Everyone was there to celebrate these two incredibly giving and in love people. Thank you Anika and Brad for your trust and hospitality throughout the entire planning and design process. You two couldn't be a more perfect pair.
