It was as if the rain clouds knew exactly when to finish their dance, leaving our team just moments to jump in and install lush gatherings of florals across the fence line. Nature somehow seems to always know exactly when it needs to let the party start at The Ocean Club.
The day before their wedding, I arrived with buckets of flowers that were uniquely selected with Danielle’s vision in mind. I called her aesthetic “Modern Nonna”. It was a gorgeous blend of florals from times past, in a modernized color story of mango, rich purples, and creamy buttery yellow.
We worked with a local farm and received a dreamy collection of fluttery peonies, lush lupine that almost looked like they were made of gummy candy, snapdragon, anemones, and hand fulls of other beauties. Brandon’s family brought a bushel of manzanita branches from their home in Oregon, ensuring his home was included in their ceremony altar.
Sara’s vision was playful, breezy, and classic, with the Pelican Club in Jupiter, FL offering the perfect backdrop. I loved seeing all of her bridesmaids’ dresses paired with cloud-like gatherings of baby’s breath bouquets. Tables were decorated with peach toned taper candles, and whimsical bud vases.
I named Claudia and Connor’s wedding aesthetic “Flirty Tropical Sunset”. While the colors were leaning more towards the moody end of the spectrum - the textures, movement, and tones of pink were flirty and seemed to bat their eyelashes every time I looked at them.
When I saw them on their wedding day I gawked. Full on mouth open, weirdo. They are chic. Truly breathtaking. But most importantly, they are so goofy and in love. You could just see the two of them melting, not only in the May Florida sunshine, but for each other. I don’t think either stopped grinning, a genuine lit from within grin, for more than 2 mins at a time.
It is hard not to be completely enamored by the grounds of the Bonnet House. It is a whimsical sand castle and will leave me feeling inspired for quite some time.
