Lauren & Dallas | Hood River, Oregon

Lauren & Dallas’s love for live music, Phish, and travel helped inspire their floral design direction. Eclectic, whimsical, and almost electric; the flowers were vibrant and funky for their windy and chilly summer wedding on a tomato farm.

Lauren & Dallas have a once in a lifetime kind of love.

When I first met them 6 years ago, they already had years of adventures together under their belt. From California to Asia, their adventurous spirits somehow landed in the same place at the same time.

Dallas and I met at a winery party, I had just made the move to Oregon and I knew one person. He asked me if I would be friends with his girlfriend and I was instantly on my feet ready to meet Lauren. I remember that moment so clearly because I could tell after five seconds with Dallas that he loved his person so much that he was scoping people out in the hopes that she would start to feel at home in their new home.

If ever there were soulmates,

these two are it. In spite of all their travel adventures, they were raised in similar parts of the states, worked in the wine industry, carry a deep love for Korean food and fried chicken, and jam to the same music. Those two are always seeking out live performances, never missing an excuse to see Phish or drive into Portland for a new favorite.

Oftentimes, the hardest thing is to find a partner who wants to grow with you.

For years, Lauren & Dallas have been side by side pushing each other, learning new things, growing in their careers, and striving to be the best versions of themselves. They have both experienced massive losses and health scares, never finding a crack in their foundation. When I met them 6 years ago, it was as though they had already been married for a decade. So it was no surprise that a sentiment echoed throughout the evening was “its about time!”, but everything has been able to unfold in their own time. Which to me, makes it feel that much more special. It wasn’t for the fanfare, pressures from society, or a false timeline. It was always just about what was right for the two of them. Being a part of their wedding day is something I’ll always hold dear and I know the two of them will continue to create the most thoughtful and vibrant life together.

Clara + John | Domaine Roy & fils, Oregon

Their love is steady and sure, and the love their family shares for them is immense. It was a beautiful night under the stars and amongst the vines.

I visited Domaine Roy during my first trip to Oregon, almost exactly 3 years to the day of Clara and John’s wedding. Being back and being a part of a wedding on their site was something that felt out of reach for a while, but Clara trusted me and pulled me right in. She coped with all the heartbreak and hurdles that come with planning a wedding on the fringe of a pandemic with a level of grace I never would have been able to muster. The process felt a little like a roller coaster, but the day of was anything but that. Their love is steady and sure, and the love their family shares for them is immense. It was a beautiful night under the stars and amongst the vines.

Julianne + Erik | Bend, Oregon

Julie has a tranquil but intentional presence about her. She is always listening, contemplating, maneuvering. She is one of the most honest people I know, she’s tough, but is sentimental beyond all belief and a romantic that puts my hopeless romantic musings to shame.

Julianne was one of the first people I met when I moved to Oregon. I was referred to her by a mutual friend, after hearing I was a floral designer new to the area. Julie and I quickly connected over our love for Disney and after I was able to get over my wave of jealousy that she had actually worked there- we became fast friends. We were both east coast girls and I felt right at home while talking to her. Before I knew it we were working events together and collaborating out in wine country. I was submerged in the wine industry and loving it with Julianne teaching me so much about wine, service, and about myself through the process. Julie has a tranquil but intentional presence about her. She is always listening, contemplating, maneuvering. She is one of the most honest people I know, she’s tough, but is sentimental beyond all belief and a romantic that puts my hopeless romantic musings to shame.

All that being said - Erik is a lucky guy, and certainly found his magnetic counterpart. During quarantine they were my people. Julie and I would have picnics in the park, by the river, drink too much daytime wine, and would often times wind up chilling with Erik and the cats back at their place. They kept me sane, offered a place of refuge, reminded me that life really can be simple. They are friends who have always felt more like family, which made providing the florals for their wedding such an honor. I apparently channeled a Disney princess for her florals, which honestly makes all the sense in the world. Cheers Julie and Erik! You have years of your fairytale ahead.

Kimberly + Kent | Middleground Farms

Her dahlias came from my friend’s home garden, the zinnias, strawflower and cosmos from a freshly planted flower farm harvesting their first blooms, making for the perfect Oregon farm wedding.

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect welcome to the Oregon wedding industry when Kimberly connected with me. We created a design plan that truly allowed her personality to shine, while sourcing local product straight from the farms around us. Her dahlias came from my friend’s home garden, with the zinnias, strawflower and cosmos from a freshly planted flower farm harvesting their first blooms.

More farm weddings while sweet little cows and goats roam around, and rad brides and grooms tie the knot- please!
